Gann Diamonds is not a jewelry chain. It is not a franchise. It is not a boutique with a curated selection of ready-made pieces. It is a private design studio in Oklahoma, operated by a single Graduate Gemologist who takes on a limited number of commissions at a time and gives each one her full attention.
The studio exists because there is a gap in how most people buy fine jewelry - between what retail stores can offer and what a private expert with no inventory agenda can provide. Gann Diamonds is that gap closed.
The Philosophy
The foundation of this studio is transparency. Not as a marketing position, but as a professional standard. Every stone Melissa presents to a client has been evaluated under proper gemological conditions and explained in plain terms. Every price reflects actual material and labor costs, not a showroom margin. Every design decision is made with the client's understanding and approval.
Most people who buy jewelry do not know what they do not know. They trust that the certificate is accurate, that the price is fair, and that the stone looks as good in natural light as it does under a spotlight. Sometimes that trust is warranted. Sometimes it is not. A private gemologist exists to close that information gap on the client's side of the transaction.
The Model
By appointment only. No walk-ins. No retail floor. No preset collection. Gann Diamonds works with one client at a time through a focused, private process from consultation to delivery. The number of active commissions at any given time is deliberately small. That is a choice, not a limitation. It is what makes it possible to do this work properly.
What We Do Not Do
The studio does not carry inventory. It does not offer ready-made jewelry. It does not accept walk-in traffic. It does not operate a showroom. These are not gaps in the business model. They are intentional decisions that make every other part of what Gann Diamonds does possible.
